A Mile-Long Town Since 1916
Since incorporating in 1916, Roseland has stayed a narrow strip of a town -- roughly four blocks wide and a mile long -- squeezed between South Bend and the University of Notre Dame campus that Father Edward Sorin founded in 1842, with Dixie Highway (State Road 933) running straight through the middle.
